The Mambo Project

Governance

The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of the Mambo Open Source CMS Project. The Board puts the structure in place, in consultation with its members, and sets the policies and decision-making structure. It does not, however, get involved with the day-to-day management of the project.

Management

The management of the Mambo Project is determined by Team Mambo. The Team works with the Board to ensure we have policies and procedures that assist the team in developing Mambo. The Project Leader is the "keeper of the vision" and is responsible for leading the Mambo Project.

All teams report to the Project Leader.

The Mambo Steering Committee

The Mambo Steering Committee (MSC) is made up of the Team Leaders from each team. The Project Leader is the head of the MSC. The Committee meets regularly so the team leaders can share information and keep other teams informed of their progress. Project reviews are undertaken to ensure the project is on target for meeting its goals. The MSC is responsible for forming or dissolving teams, and provides advice to the Board of Directors on ways to help Mambo keep moving forward.
