Image Team Mambo has published the official Mambo Coding Standards. The publication of these standards is the latest move to help add transparency to the Mambo development process and improve standardization and code quality.

The Mambo Coding Standards apply to code that is part of the official Mambo distribution. This document is based on the PEAR Coding standards. While these Standards apply to the core distribution of Mambo, 3rd party developers are encouraged to follow them.

The official Mambo Coding Standards are published here on The Source and will be available both for browsing online and for download in PDF format. As the standards will be updated from time to time, all interested parties are encouraged to bookmark the Standards section on this site and to check periodically for updates.

If you have any questions about this document please post them on the Mambo Forum at http://forum.mambo-foundation.org/
